You can remove the pump without removing the engine or mid shaft. The pump will just slide out once you unbolt it . When reinstalling you may have to turn the midshaft by hand to align the splines

Here’s how I mounted my hood strap system on my fx1. Not finished yet as I need to turf the ratchet and install my hood shock block but you get the idea. Allows me to use the stock latch system as well [emoji108]

Right on , I had a problem with my single carb. My filter was too free flowing and I didn't have enough signal strength to pull the fuel from the carb at wot. Blew an engine :( . Stock f/a ftw.

I have close to the same setup as you with zero heat issues. The only difference is I have the T where your hose flush is to my pisser instead. No T on my stinger. I put my hose flush on my pump line in just before the mani with a Y.
