    ADA head. I think both the plugs ad carb vibrated loose from deto or catching rings. Working with rebuilt motor, looks like my jetting wasn't far off.

    single carb, but leaking n&s would flood one cylinder. brand new n&s, but low pop off plugs were fresh. by the time I get back to shore, it is cleared out

    If I take a break from riding and lounge in the water, it restarts, acts like it is running on one cylinder for a minute, then clears out and is OK. What causes this? THANKS

    New to the X - Tray Vibration fixed!! now on to carb jetting after mikuni rebuild kit....any input?!

    Looks like a 46 Ditch those air cleaners for stock replacements before you such metal mesh into the motor. Check midshaft and pump seal for vibration.

    That is a ProTec A pipe. Good pipe for 650 motor, nice and light and you can run stock or their better manifold. Great pipe for smaller displacement motors. I have one on a 650 that runs strong

    So, talked to engine builder and he said try 120/160 with 17 psi pop off I ran 125/165 this weekend, but pop off was a little high Ordered 2.3 and 2.5 needle and seat and an assortment of springs to dial in the pop off Running strong, plugs starting to show some brown, piston wash still rich

    So, I have a 61x/61x, 46mm mikuni, ADA head, freestyle porting, MSD enhancer, B headpipe with C4 chamber, 1990 SN First rebuild I started at 120 pilot and 150 main, detonated and burned a piston. So with fresh rebuild, I went rich: 132.5 pilot, 165 main, 2.3 n&s, 80 gr spring, ended up at 1 turn...

    2mm overbore, jetting need changing?

    Be careful with that setting. I detonated a 61x running this exact jetting. Post rebuild I am starting at 132.5/165, rich and slowly leaning it out
