    Carb Synchronization problem

hey, After making a jetting change to my carbs this morning and double checking the synchronization, I noticed something really odd. While the carbs are perfectly synced with the butterfly valves closed, once I start to open up the throttle they are clearly out of synch. Here is a shot of what...

My first AM build. Rickter XFR - Full Carbon

So while I was waiting for my hull to arrive this past winter decided to go ahead and do some porting work on the cylinder and cases. I realize this was risky, but I figured if I screwed it up I would just get a big motor sooner. I tried to keep it pretty conservative since this was my first...

    ->NEED EXPERIENCED OWNERS HELP<-

Supercharged hands down!!! While I myself am more of a Seadoo guy when it comes to sit downs (Fully built 88+MPH RXT-X running 25lbs of boost) all of my sit down buddies love the Yamaha line of skis, and all have SVHO models. Once you have ridden a ski with a supercharger, there is no going back...

    Pop off pressure dual 38’s

So the B-Pipe and Head have no affect on what the pop off pressure will measure. However, I believe those mods will sometimes require a change in the pop off pressure, if that makes sense. As for the hard starting and pop off pressure. This is where things get a little complicated, and I...

    Pop off pressure dual 38’s

They sell a bunch of different springs and needles/valves. Here is the table from the Mikuni SBN handbook that shows you the different pop off pressures you can set. If you haven't read through that yet you really need to. Repeatedly... lol I have read it at least a dozen times, not kidding.

    East Coast Engine Builders??

Yea thats more what I was talking about, that's good to know though. So what made you decide to go with an 1100? Thats the biggest thing holding me up right now. Given how much any of these motors cost, I don't plan on buying another any time soon. And I don't want to end up being in a...

I may have been misinformed then.

    East Coast Engine Builders??

Thanks. Unfortunately it's my understanding that Dasa motors are pretty hard to come by right now, so i think that probably takes them out of the running.

Who has successfully registered an AM hull in Maryland, MD??

I think that is what I will end up having to do. But first I have to convince the DIRECTOR of the Maryland DNR that a bare hull manufacturer can not issue a HIN. How sad is that, like this is literally their JOB.

Who has successfully registered an AM hull in Maryland, MD??

This is what I get for being honest with them. Go figure. Time to send them the COAST GUARD REGULATIONS.

Who has successfully registered an AM hull in Maryland, MD??

Too late for that one.... They wanted itemized receipts for materials so I provided them the invoice for the hull.

Who has successfully registered an AM hull in Maryland, MD??

Just got off the phone with the manager of the dnr and they are refusing to let me register it without an MSO. And its my understanding that you can't get an MSO unless you buy a completed vessel.

Who has successfully registered an AM hull in Maryland, MD??

Hey yaw, Has anyone in Maryland been able to successfully and legitimately register an aftermarket hull? If so did you register it as a home built vessel? I am in the process of trying to register my new Rickter XFR as a home built vessel and the DNR is making me a little nervous. Apparently...

    East Coast Engine Builders??

I will definitely be hitting up Paul! He was great to deal with when i got my Zeel from him. As far as the 1100, you very well might be right. Maybe the 1021 would be a better option. Definitely something to consider. I'm deff down to come up there and ride sometime now that i have mine running...

    East Coast Engine Builders??

Lets see: I would like to keep it a pump gas friendly setup that will be used 60% flat water and 40% surf/boat chasing. Hull: Carbon XFR Ignition: Zeeltronics TL, which I already have and am running. Exhaust: RRP Laydown Pipe is my top choice right now. But depending on when i get the...

    East Coast Engine Builders??

I had looked at them but I wasn't sure that they made anything in the 1100cc range and up. I'll definitely give them a call though.

    East Coast Engine Builders??

Hey, Who do yaw recommend for engine builders/dealers, preferably on the east coast? I'm looking at purchasing my first real motor for my new Carbon XFR. My top choices right now are the TPE 1105 and ET 1107 but I am certainly willing to consider others especially if they are in stock.

My first AM build. Rickter XFR - Full Carbon

Yea I used to use the double sided tape ones, but I would clean off all the tape then drill 4 small holes in the corners and glue them on. But that was always a hassle. These are so much easier. Also the small one is rated for a 50lb pull strength and the larger one is 150lb pull strength...

My first AM build. Rickter XFR - Full Carbon

Not sure if anyone else has tried these before. They are called Weld Mounts and are very strong epoxy on zip tie mounts. They work great for securing and routing cables, hoses and wiring. This was my first time trying these and I have to say I'm very impressed. I used a couple of the larger ones...
