I can make some after I finish @speedysprocket 's parts I promised him ages ago. I am chaining myself to the work table today and tomorrow since I need carb gaskets. Already ordered from @JetManiac and I cant ride for now.
I know my 2014 SJ is painted for sure based on the massive peeling I have right now. Other years may be different and the bottom hull may be gel I am not sure.
Getting a good gelcoat finish is a bit of work. It can be done with a few layers and a lot of fine sanding and a good polish. Whereas...
If you want hard core durability go for that Pettit isle and grab some ezpoxy. The deck paint is hard as nails and durable as hell. Brush or spray. As always prep well and give the new paint some tooth to hold onto. (I have not tried the new ezpoxy additive)
I made updates to the post but didn't see them show up in the forum list? :( #ItsJustMeIsntIt

Choke froze in the carb so I removed it and installed a dual primer;

As a future owner with a deposit dropped on the first round of skis, I believe that we need to remember every time we have dealt with almost any contractor. They say one price and time to get the job then once you are in bed with them so to...
I decided to simply be patient. I know an operation on this scale is not a onesie-twosie deal. If you are serious about it the QA alone is an important time consuming process. How many times has a contractor told you a time and price to get the job but then deliver over time and over budget...
150/145 might be OK cold. Try again later after shes warmed up from running a minute.
The soot might be crap oil/too much or crap gas or way too much oil. Breaking a new build in I would think 40:1 at the thinnest. Also, at 150psi you might have issues on low test. You might want to try a...
Get an eyeball in the cylinders make sure it looks OK. No slime or chunks. Hand turning the crank and listening is an indication of jug health. Its fresh so it will be slightly more 'scrapey' than a broke in one. I would get a pressure reading front and back too. If you have a block off you can...
Well, lets hope that the ship actually leaves on the 1st. Delivery has been shifted from a June delivery to an August one given the travel time. My patience wanes. My cherub-like demeanor has limits. o_O
