Freestyle Tech Tip: Xmetal XS OG trim mod for improved handling

Also depends on steering nozzle type and trim ring style (old or new). The newer ones have a bevel to ease with turning. 65V steering nozzles work better than 62T.

    Lithium batteries

First of all I am not a fan of running the ETX 9. It is one third of the CCA of the stock battery. You will typically run into problems with extended cranking or big cc, big compression motors with it. Now, as far as the total loss goes, keep in mind that lead acid batteries, including AGM...

    Lithium batteries

Agree with everything but this ^^ LiFe cells have a virtually flat discharge curve, meaning the voltage is roughly the same from the time they come off the charger until they are dead. This is a huge advantage for TL users, as the usable battery voltage is always above 13 V.

    Battery Tender Lithium Batteries.

If you have a completely stock ski, and you run a 260 CCA battery, you're reducing your battery cranking power by 20%. That's not a good idea. Yamaha designed it with 325 CCA for a reason. That said, people run smaller lead acid batteries with no issues (Etx- 9, Etx- 12, etc). Keep in mind the...

    Battery Tender Lithium Batteries.

A buddy/customer tried one. It worked decent, but his Antigravity setup that I spec'd out for him (with proper charger) has worked the best. He went through 4-5 batteries (covering almost all manufacturers) until I got him setup with the AG. Keep in mind 260CCA is 20% less than a stock battery...

    Battery Tender Lithium Batteries.

On a LiFe/A123, there seems to be no issue with leaving them charged. The bigger issue is running them down below 11.5 V or so, and even worse, leaving them discharged like that. On a LiPo (which we don't use in skis), they should be stored at 60% (3.85 Vpc), charged before use, and storage...

    Battery Tender Lithium Batteries.

95% of Lithium battery issues are caused by the user. They must be be stored, charged, and maintained properly. When taken care of they are awesome. When not taken care of, they are dangerous [emoji848]

    Lithium batteries

They are relatively safe, but are very dangerous if not charged/handled properly. I've never had an issue in over 15 yrs, but I've witnessed several incidents that could have been very, very bad. Most failures occur during charging, or due to impact damage. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Lithium batteries

I disagree here. Lithium batteries require a CC/CV charge algorithm, which you oem electrics don't have. They ARE NOT designed for a stock charging system, regardless of voltage output. That said, several people use them with stock electrics and seem to get by ok. Here is some detailed...
