    Reducing Bpipe stinger diameter?

Was able to test it on sunday. Overall I'd say no change to overall power with a slightly longer time to get to peak rpm. I took it out again yesterday with it removed and it felt normal again. I've been running a 4mm restrictor in the stinger outlet and moved down to 3mm and that made more...

    Reducing Bpipe stinger diameter?

Flash, thanks for the insight. If this works out I'll plan on doing a similar inner/outer sleeve this winter. I also edited my first post. The bpipe inner diameter is 1.825", not 1.875". I have the sleeve turned and hole drilled for the stinger water passage to pass through. Its a press fit...

    Reducing Bpipe stinger diameter?

I currently have a 5mm stroke 85mm ported stock topend with 37cc domes giving me 195psi. Zeel timing is 28 degrees from 1500rpm to 4500rpm and tapers down to 18 degrees at 6000rpm. Burning 93 octane without issue. Plugs look good, piston wash is typical for reverse jetting. I'd love to look...

    Reducing Bpipe stinger diameter?

After finding some better pictures one showed the outer sleeve as 60mm, which makes sense so you can use a straight elbow to the waterbox. I did some caliper "screen measuring" and the inner sleeve is around 1.600". If someone has one to actually measure that would be great. Aluminum came in...

    Reducing Bpipe stinger diameter?

The xscream mod seems to be a sleeve over the original stinger , not making it smaller. I cannot confirm, only based on pictures I've seen. I currently have the manifold/headpipe bored to 50mm and a 4mm restrictor in the stinger nozzle.

    Reducing Bpipe stinger diameter?

A Bpipe outlet diameter is 2" od, 1.825" id. Powerfactor pipe is 1.625" id. A reduction of about 26% in area. Of the few books and papers on expansion pipe design, they all recommend a stinger diameter of 60-70% of the headpipe diameter. This is a bit difficult to measure considering this is...

    Motoseal

Says fuel resistant right on the tube. Ultra grey is not, and is easy to pick up the wrong tube

    Motoseal

I've been using it for years. I like the thickness and is always available at autoparts stores.

    Power leak w/ Zeeltronic.

I've tested both my older pdcs-o2t and the current pdcs-ao2t and both draw about 2 milliamps at idle. Pull the positive wire on the battery and check resting amperage. with and without the zeel connected. You'll need to isolate what is causing the draw.

    Krash repower

My take on your situation after helping a friend with a 997 reaper and a newer 1200 foot rocket. Regardless of the condition of the motor, between a few days and a year from now something electrical will hiccup and you'll be scouring for replacement parts. not just the typical starter and...

What happened to the stroker "kits"

When I swapped to a 5mm crank on my stock/ported cylinder, it raised my exhaust and transfer port timing about 3 degrees. The only way to do that was to use 133mm rods so I could space the cylinder up and poke the pistons out of the bore. So far I'm pleased with the performance. I also needed...

    61x topend and stroker cranks

After riding the ski in the lake michigan surf, I was able to make some jetting changes. I started with 117.5 pilot, 107.5 main, 17psi popoff. High and low speed screws out about a turn. Off idle wasn't bad, but the low to high transition was rich. Raised popoff to 22psi and changed jets to...

Who does high quality Aluminum repair?

As a machinist and ok welder, I don't think welding and retapping them is a good idea. The aluminum filler rod will be a bit softer than the 6061 those are probably made of, and there's no way to get a good depth of weld into those holes without opening them up. I'd suggest having them...

    61x topend and stroker cranks

    Exhaust manifold torque

I would highly suggest taking the time and checking/torquing them. The manifold came loose on a friends of mine and almost wiped out the topend with the amount of water it was dumping in.

    61x topend and stroker cranks

I was able to get the ski out to the lake this week for the first water test. No other changes to the ski from last year other than adding 15 pounds of reinforcing fiberglass, switching to a kart tank, and a bump in battery size from a btz9 to btz12. Took it easy and checked over for leaks...

Other What did you fab up today? A thread for the home fabricators!

Friend of mine dropped off a tigercraft viper and what I believe is a steering assembly from a gp800 and said make it work. After figuring out the main column, the steering arm was all wrong. Clocked wrong, many clearance issues. After three 3d prints I cnc machined an one that's perfect.
