So I replaced my start/stop harness (and ordered a Thrustone surf switch!) and I noticed that the bottom housing has what appears to be a drain hole in it. Is this supposed to be open or plugged?? should the switch housing itself be water-tight?

Header installed! I forgot that I hadn't re-turfed my gas tank yet so I didn't complete assembly last weekend, but hopefully I have time and motivation to wrap this thing up this week and maybe I'll do a first start video this weekend.
