Trim is useless on a stock hull unless you ride surf and pull trim to keep it from nose diving Pearling. It probably has a short rideplate on it and that's why it porpoises. I had a drop nozzle on one of mine and when I pulled the drop it stopped porpoises. I put a worx dominator plate on it...
I'd just have it stone honed for a few swipes throw it back together and test the comp
I've done this many times and didn't replace the rings either. Did you use a quality Guage and keep cranking it until the needle didn't go up? Usually even reading aren't normal on bad stuff
Usually you can tell if a cylinder is race ported by looking at the material that is between the top of the exhaust port opening and the surface where the head bolts on. On race ported, the ports have been raised so much that there isn't much material left there. I had one of those cast R&D and...
So in other words he knows the hull but he don't know poop about the motor or its tuning requirements lol tell him to sit down and stfu! If it's not reverse jetted, there is a large chance of running lean in the midrange on deceleration and siezing. 44s are 44s so don't buy into the BS on that...
Smells like he's talking about a wdk 1200. Lol
The bigger the carbs, the higher rpm the motor will or can Rev.
46s will run and work just fine but may not deliver the required air fuel mixture for maximum performance out of that 1200cc motor. That's the correct technical answer to your...
He did make a lot of the other aftermarket pipes and waterboxes. That's why they all look alike only have a different logo on them. All the stamped waterboxes like mariner, pjs, jetco and others were stamped by factory. Just like the DG, jetco, no brand and others were just like the old black...
Only coffmans aren't BSers and actually did actual dyno testing. Did you see that retarded interview that kid did with Ross the owner of factory pipe? 2 seconds into the interview Ross claimed putting his pipe on a 650 doubled the hp. I instantly shut that off
Coffmans dyno test info on that pipe and a 650 motor says it adds 6 yea I said 6 hp. Better pipe on a 701 with 5 minutes of port matching with a die grinder.
Local guru Pete bedaghian ported a sj for a guy and his ski had a sizzler on it. I'd put that motor against 99% of anything else 701. I wouldn't say the sizzler wasn't as good as the b pipe but it's heavier and doesn't take abuse as well. $1100 is high
I used to sell them on ebay 15 years ago...
This one's been on Mike Koe's world finals winning superstock superjet since before 2002. I was going to have it knocked off about 15 years ago but it never happened
Not sure but it might have been 24/7 that made these ages ago.
I didn't read anything here but line up the marks for standard timing. For every mm turned it either advances or retards about 1 degree. Turning the stator plate against rotation, advances timing just like turning the distributor on a car. Turn it 5mm advanced and it'll give you a hair more...
I've got the info for full spec 48s on that turd wdk 1200 motor wrote down somewhere but I think it's in the console of my 4 runner that's 200 miles away on the coast. Also blackjack 48s if I opened them up and looked.
Get rid of that short rideplate unless you ride nothing but surf. Shorter pole is nice but that's not your problem. That plate you are looking at is no better than stock and stock is useless for your size and weight. I had an extended plate and it porpoised until I pulled the drop nozzle. I put...
There's one for sale kind of by me in Santa Rosa CA. I saw it on Facebook marketplace. Pretty cheap and I thought about buying but I know how big a pos kavinci stuff is and I hate flushing money
You're not supposed to Y the pulse line. Either use that slave setup from the other carbs or drill another pulse hole in the other intake tract. That intake has the carbs spaced far enough apart that you don't have to cut the throttle shaft to get coupler linkage in there. Just get a throttle...
AC made a pretty short pole. Minus 4 or 5 if I remember right. You had to put a thick pole hood bumper pad on there cause the head where it starts to flair, rubbed in the pole trough in the back
Run of the mill angled protec moflow flame arrestor. Mostly used on crap that needs special clearance. If the cylinder isn't engraved with something from the porting guy, it's probably not a well known or pro builder. That stamping on the tag is factory and has nothing to do with aftermarket or...
