Superjet - handle pole pivot bolt problem

I used the PB Blaster and my largest crescent wrench for leverage. Got the nut moving, and after a turn or 2 the nut started to move easier. Then I realized that the nut was not moving on the bolt. Must have stripped the threads on the nut or bolt or both. Arrrg. With more than an inch of...

Superjet - handle pole pivot bolt problem

Thanks. Will try a torch if the PB Blaster doesn't do the trick.

Superjet - handle pole pivot bolt problem

Yah, I was having to re-tighten the nut after each ride. Am trying the PB Blaster now. I see the dog bone spacer on the Blowsion website. I assume you get rid of the spring, and the dog bone spacer protects the base of the pole from damage from over tightening? Or is there some other purpose?

Superjet - handle pole pivot bolt problem

I have been tightening the bolt on the pivot bolt to get a tight handle pole that stays in the position you leave it in. The handle pole is now un-centered and is scraping paint from one side of the hood and handle pole. (it is an aluminum UMI pole). I went to loosen the pivot bolt nut, to...

    Mikuni dual carb rebuild

The side with the o-ring gets a diaphragm. The other side gets a gasket and a diaphragm (assuming these are 38's. 44's get another gasket). See diagram in the attached Mikuni sbn Manual.

    Mikuni dual carb rebuild

I cleaned and blew out the "holes" where the filter is, the needle valve, low speed adjuster, & high speed adjuster. Did not mess with the jetting, so did not clean out those areas. I am no expert, but I think that gets most of the fuel and air pathways, including bypass holes. Happy to be...

    Mikuni dual carb rebuild

I just spent over $80 and 2.5 hours rebuilding my Mikuni dual 38 carbs for one of my SuperJets. I use the original Mikuni build kits (just do not trust the OEM kits). You end up buying 2 full rebuild kits, when you only need 1 full kit and 1 not-full kit. You waste a bunch of parts, diaphragms...

    Any riders in Bahrain?

I will be in Bahrain and have a free day on Nov 13, 2014. Would be great if there was a standup or freestyle ski that someone was willing to rent. If anyone has connections in Bahrain, let me know. Thanks!

Thanks to all that showed up yesterday. Probably had about 30 skis, and 50 people. SuperJets, Kawi's, X2's, Rickter, custom hulls, ... Great crew of new friends... Stand-up people :-) I did a poor job taking pics.... too busy skiing all day. If you have any good ones, post 'em.

Braddock Bay Freeride, Aug 9 2014 (Rochester, NY)

Could not ask for a better day for this. Forecast is 80 degrees, sunny, 0% chance of rain. This will be fun. Yah! Parking is free. It is $8 to use the launch. If not using the launch, just drive past the marina office. The marina is the 2nd left from the parkway (1st left is Braddock Bay park)...

Join us for a fun day rippin', riding, partying at Braddock Bay. On Lake Ontario just west of Rochester, NY... starting around noon. This is an informal un-sanctioned event at a casual location (e.g. never a Coast Guard boat in sight). Just show up, launch ($8 launch fee), and ride. Can get some...

Hey Faisal... I see from your post that you are from Dubai. I will be in Dubai next week, and have some open time on Wed May-21. I see many jet ski rental places. Do you know of any place in Dubai that rents a freestyle stand-up ski?

    Super Jet Best aftermarket battery

Haha. The Antigravity explosion pic says it all. Ugh! The Earthx ETX36 seem like a great battery at 405CCA, 36 Ah, 3.9lbs.... and no need for the hassles of a separate charging system. Quite pricey though at $349.

    Super Jet Best aftermarket battery

Great info guys. Thanks all. My takeaway is that there are 3 choices. 1. AGM battery that matches stock specs (330 CCA, 19 Ah), like a Deka ETX16 (325, 19, 17 lbs, ~$100) 2. AGM battery that is lighter & below stock specs, like a Deka ETX9 (120, 8, 7.1 lbs, ~$50) or Deka ETX 12 (220, 12, 12...
