Can't get the girdle studs out of the cases... will try harder, but as of now consider you have to buy the girdle kit from ada or JM.

So I am now making a mold of my rideplate. I have vacuum bagged it and am waiting for it to fully cure. I will then pop out 2 ridplates and cut them up and bond to make a longer version. Then mold that and make a new longer rideplate for my ski, maybe 5 inches longer and able to cut it down.

I pulled the tank out, the motor and went over everything.
Had an exhaust hose clamp loosen up, the trim adjuster was also loose. 2 bolts on the bottom on the engine poked into the glass at the bottom of the hull.
I took a flapper disc and ground off about 1/2 the thickness of the bolt heads...
Well I took it out yesterday for the first time.
Rode it for several tanks of gas (2 gallon tank) .
The ski runs really well. I need a better prop, and to install the top loader intake, I am running it open right now.
The power of the 927 is unreal. I have never ridden a bigger cc motor...

Have you looked around to see who does these motors. I belive group k does the big bore setups. Mine is a 927 from wdk. And I am almost sure group k sells the replacement pistons.
A good welder will know how to do that properly.
Obviously the hole will have to be enlarged or cut open from the outside to fill it in all the way.
I had a few that were in need of repair. On the outside of the cylinder it was easy, I just ground down the material to expose a nice open...
I had a similar issue on a ported 760 cylinder.
I ended up having to weld to holes (tig) up and re drill and tap.
There are always ways to fix things, it just depends on your budget . It was cost effective for me to have the holes filled and retapped vs buying a new cylinder, boring it...
