I've got a 10 mil 1100 and haven't had any issues. Had it properly tuned by Phillip Clemmons which was one of the first to run one of the 10 mill 1100's.

Did you check to make sure the carb rack was good and tight. Same thing happened to me last week on my dasa 1100.
