To stabilize the hitch, I drilled a threaded hole for a bolt in back side of the receiver to pinch the hitch inside receiver. Then drilled an indentation in the hitch for the bolt to bite into. This help stop any bouncing and swaying issuses for me.

What condition are your plug wires and boots. The OME get old and brittle over time. Pull boots off and tug on the cooper strands with side cutter to check for broken strands. Cut back wires to where its good sold wire, no broken ends. Best to replace coil wires, or have JSS(jet ski soluution)...

You say it runs fine everywhere but surf and changing plugs was your fix. Are the plugs milky looking from water intrusion? The carbs are right by the hood seal. Get a rachet strap or make a barrier to block water from splashing in. Need new hood seal?

I I agree. I blew out my base gasket over the summer. Got most of it out with a razor, but the left over hard caked on areas gasket remover ate it up into a paste for easy cleanup. Done in 15 mins I think it took me.

Spray on gasket remover works great. Just spray on let soak then scrape off. Yea Pismo forcast sucks, but I will be there.

Broke, because the good waves are predicted for Mon-Tues. 6-8ft, 15sec spread coming from the north. They should peel. I missed the fun with a good group of guys. Fix that baby, I'll be there soon. Dave
