On aftermarket 46's, Supertune Chucky had us drill out returns, converge the return lines into a single line with a #60 jet. Worked excellent on different cc size engines too.

Each cylinder can vary with pulse pressure is my understanding.

I believe the real reason for why is to insure equalization of fuel pressure.
