    New to Portland, OR Area

Great! Thanks guys! I will probably need some help going over my sxr for it to get surf ready. She has been a lake boat her entire life. Where do you typically go for surf riding?

Smoofers' Super Chicken Build (Mostly Complete)

I did a pretty good job bagging and labeling everything. I agree, it is going to be fun figuring out where everything goes. Good luck with the build. I will be following this and thanks for the renewed motivation to get mine going again. I need to build a stand first since I got rid if my...

Smoofers' Super Chicken Build (Mostly Complete)

Nice work! My superchicken was stripped completely down for rebuild almost a year ago. We just completed a move from AZ to Portland OR and I hauled the hull and all parts with me. I could not let it go! I need to get back on this and get it finished.

Freestyle For real?!?!~Rosie's Official WDK R.I.P build thread ~

Remove flow control valve. I highly doubt you will notice the difference. Angle the exhaust down towards to the water. It will make a significant difference.

    Glue cutting experience on sxr

I used a flat flapping disc on my hand grinder. The removal was very fast. Be very careful, you will do right through the hull if not careful.

    Security surveillance camera

I installed this system last year. Been working OK. I have noticed that the night vision is not as clear as it once was. I might need to clean the cameras. For the money, it works great. 8 Channel system with only 4 cameras...

    SXR Ride Plate

Work on your body position in the tray. When the lake is calm, put more weight at the rear of the ski. This will help keep the nose from grabbing to much. When rougher, you need to put your weight forward to dig in the nose. I have a 07 as well and I understand what you are talking about on...

    Other Modifications you regret.

Took my cylinders to a local guy for a hone. He looked at them and suggested to clean up the ports due to the stock casting. Me being new and dumb said ok. He gave me back my cylinder "with a $500 custom port job for the cost of a clean up." Ski has never ran the same since.

89 650 sx.... at my breaking point with this ski

If you are getting air through everything then I would be looking at the prop and pump seal. You might not have enough pressure to force the water through the line. When you had it in the water last, did the ski get up and go or was it lagging?

89 650 sx.... at my breaking point with this ski

Good. Water supply is hooked up correctly. Now remove the hose from the stator and connect it up to the garden hose. Install the line back on the exhaust mani and remove the line from the head pipe from the head. See if water is flowing through the exhaust many, up through the cylinders and...

89 650 sx.... at my breaking point with this ski

The reduction nozzle is the contoured piece that bolts directly to the pump. It has the slanted fitting installed on it.

89 650 sx.... at my breaking point with this ski

Nipple from the pump should connect to a pipe that ultimately will connect to the nipple on the exhaust manifold. The water will travel up through the exhaust manifold and then up through the cylinders and head. The water will exit the head from the nipple on top. That line then connects to...

89 650 sx.... at my breaking point with this ski

from what you described there is only one water supply from the pump. Nipple 1 is the slanted pipe from the reduction nozzle. This goes to your stock bilge. Nipple number 2 is the water supply line from the pump. How are the water lines connected in the hull. I only see the one from the...

89 650 sx.... at my breaking point with this ski

if you are getting water through all the passages on the hose then the issue is at the pump and or tube through the hull.
