I must be getting old too. I saw "shake" and was thinking hmmm a chocolate shake sounds good right now. I just watch two vids of half naked guys and now my "shake" sounds awful.
In my experience, ADA specs are off from actual. At least in the kawasaki world. They state 32CC domes should be getting about 185psi. Almost everyone I know that put those on gets 150. We all run 28cc to get the desired compression of 180.
Sxrs were sold new with compression ranging from 150 to 180 psi. Mine was new at 150. Most shops tested every new ski. They sold the lower comp ones and kept the higher comp ones for racing.
The top screw on the headipe will move the power band lower in the RPM range. The screw on the bottom of the headpipe will move the power band in the upper RPM range. The RPM range in which the pipe will "come on" will be different for every boat. It is best to try a combination of all three...

I love my XD9mm. The glock just does not fit right in my hand. You cannot go wrong with either. The best thing to do is go to the range and rent all the guns your are interested in and see what one fits best.
