sj Stock motor tricks jetting water routing ect.

I've found the stock squarenoses retain a lot of water in the waterbox, as all the pipe cooling water makes it's way out there. Put in a T like SFL said, and run a pisser overboard like the later 701's.

    TKO Flex Hulls...

Yep, I've spoken to Kevin about them, and yes, he takes the time to explain things. I'd like to hear from a few people out there that have ridden them with and without the hull extensions though. Hittin the bottom isn't that much of an issue though really, I mean, the extensions can be...

    TKO Flex Hulls...

I'm pretty sure Gino's is the full length version, not that it should make much difference once the hull extensions are fitted. I'm particularly interested to find out how they go in the surf (with extensions fitted) given that the hull is 81 lbs.

    TKO Flex Hulls...

Is anybody out there running one of these new hulls? I'm interested to hear your opinions on thier weight, and handling with or without the removable hull extensions. I really like the idea of these hulls, and the finish looks really nice and clean. So, if you have one, and are willing to...

    AC scissor stand dimensions

Hi guys... Could somebody do me a favour and throw a tape over thier AC scissor stand and write down some dimensions for me? I've just aquired a few lengths of different alloys, so I thought I might make a few stands for the crew. If you could measure the top bars, where they bend, the...

    Budget total loss?

Yeah, if you are a hack and have no clue what you are doing, you will have problems. The same goes for jetski's...if you don't know what you are doing, the engine eill blow up. If you don't know how to drive your car, you'll crash it...so on and so forth.

Who sells OEM crank bearings and rods?

I have a guy rebuilding my 6mm stroker crank here in oz, and I said I would supply all the parts to have it done. I know I can get the front and rear crank bearings, but the centre bearings, labyrinth bearing and the rods (64x) aren't listed on the Yamaha parts finder as a replacement part...

Can anyone identify this stroker crank?

So, If I am to purchase new rods for this crank, what would I be looking for? From what I can measure, it looks like the rods are 128mm from centre to centre of rod ends. What engine came with these rods stock? I'm sending it off to be rebuilt, and I want to make sure I can source all the...

Can anyone identify this stroker crank?

Awesome! Thanks for the quick replies! I wasn't sure if they were stock rods or not as they have a smooth finish rather than the rough kind of finish the 701's have. In saying that, I have zero experience with stroker cranks. I plan on building a big bore stroker with it, but I do need...

Can anyone identify this stroker crank?

Hi guys... I'm just trying to determine what sort of stroker crank I have here. I'm told that it's a rad crank but I'm not sure. Short of the pictures themselves, the only mark on them is a 74 on the webs. Anyone know? Cheers...

    TBM Flywheel thoughts

I dunno Matt, it is a pretty big ask....I mean putting those two clamps on the battery when you're cleaning the engine bay out is quite the bitch... I get 3 tanks out of my battery before I have to recharge it...Deka AGM. Now that I have run total loss, I'll never go back. I've tried...

    Bad crank seals? Or normal?

Just do a leakdown test and squirt some soapy water in the area...I like to have my engines hold 10psi for 10 minutes, but I'm a fussy bugger. The reality is that a slight leak is fine (if you're not fussy) as long as you aren't losing a couple of psi in 20 seconds or something like that.

    TBM Flywheel thoughts

I'll take the total loss thanks... I don't see where the hassle comes from. You attach the brain to a board, bolt on your pickup plate and flywheel and run some wires...For the gain it gives, it's well worth it.
