How was the quality on the trim cable? I have a half in ss tube just in case and a trim nozzle for CATS. Its tempting but I have read its not really worth it for most, what were your experiences with trim? Novelty or necessity? Sorry for the derail.

I have a xl760 mid-shaft and housing in what appears to be excellent condition. I did not crack the mid-shaft spacer on the back side of the housing but if the front is any indication it's perfect. 175 shipped conus friends and family.

Spoke too soon. Once pressure built in the system it started leaking again. This time I know exactly where it is. The backside gasket on the rear carb. I will swap them out on Monday.

I think I fixed the carbs. I changed out the diaphragms, Inspected the internal filters, and re checked all hose clamps. My pulse line was a bit loose so thats sort of scary so I fixed that. Im going to lake test this evening.

That is how I figured out mine was not breathing enough. It had enough vacuum to put red marks on my hand lol.

Im not sure how waterproof it is but it sure cleans up the look on air holes. The adhesive is pretty nuts so I suspect they would do fine in salt.

Here was my solution. I was definitely having Air Flow Restriction, it would crush my fingers if I held the hood and blipped it. I have not hooked a man o meter to it yet since I have a jetting issue but I'm sure this will fix the air flow issue.

Ditch that glass box asap. It is a literal ticking time bomb that when it explodes you have a nice big way for water to get in the hull and drag it all down, not to mention it wont run so you will be in the middle of the lake stuck when it happens. The lid likes to come off of them and separate...

I got the Frogskins installed. The template they provided made it nice and easy. Should breathe plenty.

Pretty much where my head is at as well. A WJ 46 or maybe BJ 48 is probably all I would ever need. I of course may be wrong hence me feeling it out in the thread.
