I've been thinking about this. It looks like it inserts into the housing in front of the bearings and acts like a shield. I think I will go ahead and install one.

I labeled mine on my blaster with a label maker. So far it's holding up well. I know you may not have that kind of space but you may be able to squeeze on and res in somewhere. I can print the text out smaller as well.
I like the 61x. I added a factory pipe, head and impeller to mine The stock impeller is good if it's in good shape. It's pretty hard to find a pipe right now. I would recommend riding it and enjoying until things get back to normal and you can pick up a factory pipe for a reasonable price.
I have been replacing mine with a cutoff piece of 3/4" square aluminum tube with hole drilled in it for the rivet.
I just file it smooth and rivet it in.
