    Factory pipe type 8 question

It's been discussed on here that the type 8 had perhaps the highest hp potential of the 02' era dry pipes because it's such a huge exhaust chamber. Not much low end but N.Rius was so good he didn't need that. I'm sure ecwi would benefit this pipe a lot.

    Piston Wash, Superjet 62T w/B-pipe

While you're in there clean all that carbon off the top of the pistons. You can actually get detonation from bits of carbon in the combustion chamber that get hot and cause the fuel to ignite at the wrong time. Yamaha shows this in their 2 stroke service video

    Modded 701 reliability

9/15 won't even break 50 in most cases. Best I ever got was 48mph at 7300 rpm

    Hand guns

Main gripes about the sig I hear are: high bore axis and poor performance in elements testing. Semi autos are kind of foreign to me as I like classic guns, got 2 double action 44 revolvers I really like and I spend some time using my dad's 1911. Have shot a few other SA striker fired guns that...

factory type 4 dry pipe- need aftermarket reeds?

Really need a tach with Max rpm recall. And make sure the pump never comes unhooked during on water tach run. Readings can be misleading.

    superjet rebuild! parts quality

A quality bore from a shop that knows jet skis is key. Parts quality kinda depends on how you ride. Racing/high rpm demands better parts like Wiseco or wossner forged pistons, welded OEM crank, etc

    Novi 48 damage-fixable?

Imo clamp collars do a better job of preventing wear on the butterflies than eclips. The clips and washers allow for more 'slop' there over time.

    Novi 48 damage-fixable?

About the Novi linkage, I use a jetworks linkage that's modified but with the Novi set up I imagine you could just replace the e clips with 8mm 2pc stainless collars from McMaster by just using smaller nylon spacers

    Novi 48 damage-fixable?

I had to use a mini torch to remove those little screws that I had installed about a year prior with loctite 290/permatex green.

Bond a stud to the back of the tubbie where it needs to make up that gap. Just a thought. Studs torque down better, there isn't so much twisting force

    Beginner Here

Still riding the first ski I had. Was a new superjet from 2003. Started off wanting to do jump wakes and do fountains, stabs, firehose etc then racing and occasional surf riding became my focus. I was barely under the hood for ten years on that ski. The superjet does it all and it can...
