If you cut it off at that line you are proposing, you will be cutting off all mounting holes that are used for actually attaching the pole bracket to the hull. So you would have to drill/machine new mounting holes. Maybe hit up @Kaylee.S and see if she has an extra pole bracket. She just built...

Love my jet kit from @OCD Solutions ! The only other thing I added was a pair of tweezers that I put on top of the Low Jets. Helps keep the low jets from bouncing around and also helps me pick up the jets because I have them sausage fingers. :D:D

You can find the push pins on McMaster I believe, but they are pretty expensive! You would need to source the hull portion of the hood pin system though.
