    DISCONTINUING THE SUPERJET????

Wasn't kawasaki forced to make it so big because they were too lazy/didn't have the budget to R&D new components, so they had to go with heavy un-optimized components? This obviously resulting in more "necessary" flotation and thus huge overall dimensions? What is the weight of the TR-1...

Any mechanical engineers on here? Or engineers in general..

I’ve had hiring people say that most individuals mechanical aptitude can be judged very quickly by asking simple questions like, can you change the oil in your car? Or just understanding if any of their hobbies involve any sort of mechanical skills. Based on that, they say they can usually tell...

Any mechanical engineers on here? Or engineers in general..

No problem. I just graduated last December and got my first job going and I feel like I could be typing a book to you on advice for how to do school and all that. (especially considering I got into jetskiing big time around the same time, kind of funny) As a freshman you're going to have...

Any mechanical engineers on here? Or engineers in general..

It seems that your mindset about a desk job is pretty much the same as every other engineer that is still in school. Basically it comes down to whatever position you decide to put yourself in will determine how much you sit at a desk. You aren't an operations technician on a line, you won't be...

OEM 760 44 carb throttle valves

“Incurable” I’ve replaced 44 throttle shafts before, including ones from oem 760. Can’t say I’ve ever ran into an incurable low end hesitation.

OEM 760 44 carb throttle valves

Like what, people are telling him to salvage worn parts, for what reason? I edited my initial post also

OEM 760 44 carb throttle valves

Just leave the butterflies alone if you aren’t going to replace everything. I can’t believe people are suggesting to reuse those worn parts. There’s no way the tuning is going to be off THAT much no matter what throttle plates you get, it’ll take you 5 seconds to get it back running where you...

    2018 Superjet

Yes I think everyone on the forum is fully aware of everything you’ve just said...especially since the ‘18 has been out for almost a year now.. There’s nothing wrong with discussing a future model since there’s no discussion to be had about the current one.

    2018 Superjet

This is pretty much what I was thinking. Really I can put logic to it going any direction. The squarenose market is solid and has been for years, old RN is more reasonable as of late from what I’ve been seeing (at least in Wisconsin). Really rooting for the 4t though, if people buy it, the...

    2018 Superjet

Just curious what everyone thinks is going to happen to the used market for superjets if they ever update it AND it doesn’t suck? Personally I think they will pretty much stay the same. Side note: I understand they are legally not allowed to update the old 2t tech, but I think people are insane...

    Footholds.. Yes or No?

I agree they are a waste of time. What can you do on a superjet with them that you couldn't without? When installed all they are is protrusions sticking into a tray that is already hurting for real estate. And "progressing in freestyle", what does that even mean anyway? Going from jumping a...

Solas or R&D Scoop Intake Grate on Stock 2015 SJ?

I’ve run both, both are very good. Can’t go wrong imo. Don’t assume the 228 is any more or less aggressive than JD though. The 228 hangs a good 1/2” below the hull.

Solas or R&D Scoop Intake Grate on Stock 2015 SJ?

I would recommend not shimming at first on the 08+ hull, you may not need them, especially with JD. They are pretty aggressive. Old hulls, yes, definitely needs shims.

    Recommended bearing service life

Thanks for the input, I ended up deciding not to mess with it. I'm just a little paranoid about this thing because my trailer is the one thing I seriously neglect year after year and kind of take it for granted. It is old as hell and it literally sits in feet of snow through a good portion of...

Solas or R&D Scoop Intake Grate on Stock 2015 SJ?

Okay, that's not the LTD race, just the aquavain or whatever its called. Never ran that on an 08+ but have on a squarenose. I'm sure it will be fine, what type of riding do you do?

Solas or R&D Scoop Intake Grate on Stock 2015 SJ?

Which R&D is it? If it's the Solas double scoop, it works okay. Don't expect the best hookup, but still better than stock and can easily be found for under $100. If the R&D is the LTD race grate, it hooks like crazy, body won't roll much in corners, but if you need to hookup in wash and race...
