Cool build! Congrats!

I think this is one of the best all around ski setups for a SJ. Stock hull, RRP pole and nice hard hitting SS motor.

Xscream has all the parts in stock for this engine. Calling them tomorrow and getting new wrist pins and the recommended bearings to match.

No idea because I bought the ski used. Compression is fine and equal on both cylinders. I tore it down because I felt some rough bearings in the bottom end. Upon inspection the wrist puins themselves have wear. I would hate to put new bearings on a untrue surface. Are they available?

I am putting a new crank in my xscream 865 engine and noticed that although my cylinders and pistons are fine, my wrist pins have light grooves in them. New wrist pin bearings come with my crank. Can I just replace the wrist pins alone or do I have to get new Pistons too?

I will be down for some riding on Thursday.

Shortened and painted the RRP pole. Motor, tank, exhaust, electric and pump are done. Now the tray assembly begins!

Thanks! Working hard and progress is slow at times. But the slow nature of the build has allowed me to enjoy the process more.

Pump is in and motor set in. However, I need to pull the engine and do some work on the couch mounts. Motor sits a little high.

I swear it is 4x the work to rebuild something vs building from scratch. Good progress.

Looks like my rebuild progress. List just keep growing. Hang in there and don't rush. Nothing worse than having to do it twice.

If u plan to tear the ski down I would just junk the bottom deck and fit a sj bottom on there. Unless you do a lot of hood tricks you don't need the rail extensions. I cut mine off and it looked better. Depending on how heavy he laid up that hull a bottom deck refit will drop a fair amount of...
