Looks rich to me too. Did you clean anything before taking the pics? How long has this engine been running before you opened it? Can we see a pic of the domes on the stock head?
Excellent idea and serious kudos for putting in the work!!
My suggestions would be to add fields for compression readings and fuel (octane level) used.
modded the ebox cover as suggested and both fuse holders fit just fine. who needs a manual when you've got this kinda support on the X :Banane01: thanks alot!! And props again OCD Solutions for an excellent product.
I have a kit thats got the fuse holder wired in. I'm trying to figure out how to put it into the ebox and still be able to access it without having to reopen the whole thing. The screwed-on cap that gives acces to the main cdi fuse seems too small for both fuse holders to fit.
Any suggestions...
Couch mounts are a cheaper option than the aftermarket urethane models but supposedly give great results. I'm installing a set in my ski now so no first hand experience yet but they came highly recommended.
Contact jetmaniac he'll hook you up with whatever you need.
Thanx for the concern tzane but those are not my pistons. I pulled those pics straight off a google image search. I posted them to show the ideas I was gonna use to try to pull the pins.
was able to work on the engine over the weekend and got both pins out with much less effort than i expected. twice last week and again this week i had sprayed WD40 generously under the pistons and let it sit till this weekend. i took some crappy cell phone pics that i'll post later.
i used a...
Looks like crank seal is going. Had similar issue a while back but mine looked MUCH worse. Maybe u caught it earlier then I did.
Do a leak down test, I'm pretty sure it will confirm our suspicions.
Thanx for the input guys.
First thing im gonna try is a DIY "piston pin puller". An image search on google got me the following pics. Pretty sure I've got enough lying around the garage to put together something like these.
I don't like the idea of hammering or banging on the pins. My...
Short version
Piston pin bearings rusted and crapped out with lack of use. Removed cylinders and pistons cant move. Best case scenario i'd need to replace pin, bearings and clips. Pins however are stuck, I can't get them to budge in either direction. Any recommendations on how best to remove...
watched the race coverage with not problems...and now that freestyle is starting its gives me the error message "media stream is no longer active..blah blah blah"
this sucks
definitely your best option. if you can get the whole plate for cheap it'll save you the headache of sizing a restrictor in the return line. leaving it with the fitting drilled out as you mentioned will certainly not run right.
