Super Jet Shorten Squarenose pole 3"

I was second guessing it. The only thing i think i have to worry about is reinforcing the new steering hole because where the hole is originally located it is much thicker

Super Jet Shorten Squarenose pole 3"

-3" is as far as i can go for the cable lock to fit. My goal is to get at least a season out of it then i will upgrade to a hazard bracket/RN pole edit: Hopefully my SN lasts at least another season, then i will upgrade to a RN hull

Super Jet Shorten Squarenose pole 3"

Ok, so i am shortening my SN handpole... if i mess up i will just buy a RN pole but here it goes. I am going to shorten it from the 'business end' where the bars attach. I started by cutting 3" off the end then rounded it back to its original shape.

    Super Jet Shorten Squarenose pole

    Super Jet Shorten Squarenose pole

ok so i have seen all people shorten their handle pole by cutting out of the center. I am planning on getting a hazard bracket/ rn pole eventually but for now i was thinking of cutting the pole from the top and relocating the steering plate about 3" forward. has anybody tried this?

    freshly built engine tuning

I just built my first engine. it is a 61x/62t 701. Today i started it up at the lake and it sounded fine until i got on it and started to go. it had no bottom end and when i hit the gas the engine would pick it up 2-3 seconds later. I think it is a carb issue. any other ideas? what jets/ low and...
