I know Cali is pretty strict on tampering with HIN tags. Did your ski have a HIN on the outside, as well as the inside? -Rob

I had that setup on my ROK, and the pole bolt is half worn through from the spring. -Rob

What you need is a "Hazard Bracket". It allows you to bolt an RN pole onto an SN, and also takes care of the front hood hooks. I'm not sure if Hazard is still making them, but the Rad Dudes sell a bracket that does the same thing. -Rob

I run mine with a 9/15 hooker and no intake grate. No cavitation issues that I notice. -Rob

I believe mine failed due to installation error. The thin part of the gasket was pushed into the crank area, and allowed air to leak there. The witness marks on the case and cylinder appear to show that it's been that way since installation. -Rob

Pretty much. I doubt you'll talk to an underwriter, and most companies have a policy not to insure a boat with a State issued HIN. WakeZone insurance seems to be the way to go. -Rob
