Kevlar or soft armor tends to deteriorate with sweat and wear, it can break down. Also it's really only rated to stop smaller hand gun rounds, typically anyway.

Same reason you wouldn't want to drive a dirt track car or a Top Fuel Dragster to work. Those are purpose built machines and the people who pilot them are trained athletes.

I have the ATP mini steering on my XM pole. Not only did I have to open the hole up, but I had to notch the steering stop/ chin pad brace. I like their pole, but IMO they make it damn difficult to run anyone elses steering.

So if I connect a wire directly from the battery to the white SS wire going to the CDI and it doesn't shut off, what does that mean?

I have continuity from battery ground to black SS wire.

Earlier I tried bypassing the stop button, and used some pliers to jump across the black/white wires. Still didn't shut off. Had to suffocate the motor again.
