    A Couple More 66e Questions

Appreciate all the great info Dale. So you really got a brand new complete Total Loss system all wired up for $970? That's incredible. I may have to look into that. The engine I'm considering buying is a brand new stock OEM crate motor and doesn't come with intake, carbs, electrics, pipe...

    Waterdawg Blaster 800

If you could make it fit do you think it would run pretty well. I mean if ya'll are running the speedwerx pipe on your 8 mil PV Lamey's then I don't see why it wouldn't.:dunno:

    Waterdawg Blaster 800

So I had another idea about the exhaust... What if you were to take the Waterdawg Manifold and turn it around so it faces backwards then run a Speedwerx Dry Pipe? If you look at the pictures the two manifolds are very similar. They both stick out about the same distance and it looks like...

    Riva Gas Operated Powervalves?

What about the R&D's? The one's on their website are 300, but does that include everything you need if you didn't have any stock powervalve parts?

    Riva Gas Operated Powervalves?

that's the way I planned it! haha. no really she is not real hung up on gifts. she said she would rather go on a ski trip every year instead of us buying each other christmas/anniversary gifts. We'll see how long that lasts though.

    A Couple More 66e Questions

I'm pretty sure I am about to pick up a new 66e crate motor, but it doesn't come with anything, but the shortblock so I've got a few questions... 1. What carbs are everyone running with the 66e and how do they run? 2. What reeds/reed cages are everyone running in their 66e? 3. Is it...

    Riva Gas Operated Powervalves?

I thought I heard that gas operated powervalves ran about $300, but after looking on Riva it looks like they are a lot more than that: http://www.rivayamaha.com/RivaStore/product_page.asp?Category=Gas-Operated%20Powervalves 159.95 x 2 + 129.95 x 2 = 579.80  This can't be...

IHOP's New Style 2008 24-7 Superjet Build *Completed*

I gotcha. I just wanted to make sure you weren't painting that ski gray cuz the black looks really good. Graphics look awesome also.

    Isn't your ski black though?

    Waterdawg Blaster 800

You know I thought about doing that also. It looks like a lot of work, but I'm sure it's very solid.

    Waterdawg Blaster 800

Nope I'm pretty sure it has to be the original blaster equipment. It also has to use the stock filler neck so you are very limited on how far you can move the tank around in the hull.

    Waterdawg Blaster 800

I would do that in a heart beat, but then the boat wouldn't be sport mod legal.

    Waterdawg Blaster 800

Well Jeff just pm'd me and assured me that the 66e will fit in the blaster using his kit and the pipe/manifold will clear the hull and gas tank. As soon as I see pictures of the setup mocked up in a blaster hull then I'll be ordering the kit that day. So if anyone near Jeff has an empty...

    Waterdawg Blaster 800

So it sounds like it's a catch 22. If you go with the Waterdawg Mounting kit and save the time/work of having to relocate mounts then the pipe won't fit and if you decide to move the mounts yourself then you end up having to take on all of that extra work and still don't know for sure if the...

    Waterdawg Blaster 800

Cool. After you pm'd me and while you were typing this I went ahead and drew up something in paint to show what everyone what you were talking about. You're saying that you would cut the red shaded portion out then pull the green portion up and move it forward. After glueing it back down you...

    Waterdawg Blaster 800

I'm also considering doing what Bonzia Bob did and actually heating up the SMC plates and moving them forward. Would this even be possibly being that the entire inside of the hull is SMC? If you look at the picture you'll see that the back SMC plates would actually have to rest on the front ones...

    Waterdawg Blaster 800

Awesome. That's good to hear. Someone did mention thought that if you use the WD mounting kit in the blaster to mount the 66e straight up then the exhaust manifold hit's the hull and won't fit which basically eliminates that option right there being that I can't cut into the hull. I...

    Waterdawg Blaster 800

Not mine. Well it actually used to be mine. That was my first standup. I got that back in middle school also and sold it with my blaster when I turned 16 and needed money for a car. I always regretted selling them, but did get the chance to buy the blaster back. The sj is actually...
