I also have a few questions that maybe some of ya'll can answer...
1. I keep reading that the 66e engine is setup to be more of a mid-top end motor which is perfectly fine with me and that there are a few things you have to do to it to get it to hit hard off the bottom. My question is what...
So about a year ago I had a chance to buy back my old blaster hull from when I was kid from another guy on the boards(it was the exact same ski I had back in middle school/high school). The ski had been totally restored with a killer paint job and still had some goodies on it like UMI Steering...
Yeah that's what I'm thinking. The only things is that the blaster motor mounts are straight while the sj motor mounts are angled.
Who knows if I can figure out a way to easily mount a 66e in the blaster and find a pipe that will work I may have to follow in your footsteps Tim.:scratchchin...
No offense, but we heard the same thing last year and no one saw a hull. I think I heard he brought one and showed a select few people, but did not display it for all to see like he was supposed to.
I have absolutely nothing against the guy nor am I trying to stir the pot. I'd really like to...
That's why I was wondering because I thought all of the major hull builders had previously ripped off the older roundnose. Not trying to call out Mark at all. It was a legitimate question.
Correction: Actually I think the 12/17 C-75 TBM setup was recommended to me, but I ended up just going with a standard 12/17 swirl instead cuz I didn't want to spend the money on the TBM pump cone.
Still pretty similar though. I can definitely see that motor being WAY too much for that prop...
Nope actually that exact setup (C-75 13/17 Swirl & TBM Cone) was recommended to me by Kevin @ Legdrag to run on my stock 701 with a bpipe, head, and enhancer.
Thanks:biggthumpup: Haven't gone yet. The Wedding is on Dec 28th then we're leaving for Lake Tahoe. We scratched the cruise idea when a family member hooked us up with a time share at Heavenly.
I wasn't saying it wasn't a good deal. I was merely pointing out that there are already built up ski's out there in much better shape that don't go for nearly as much as they should.
I mean like you said if this ski was running it would probably bring $1200. Now what about all of the cherry...
Hmmm. Maybe the 93's came with the ss prop and the 94-96's came with the aluminum prop. I can't remember.
Anyone have a 93 with the stock prop in it that can check for us?
