I used a FCV and a 2 or 3mm restrictor at the stinger and it never got too hot and really worked great.

So did you change to the 95g spring? Before you jet leaner I would try leaning out your screws. I think someone mentioned before that your screw settings looked a little rich. I would definitely not go any lower than a 72.5. Like I said the 70 was way too lean for me. Glad it's running better...
