Cool. Did you get the "race" or "freestlye" hood? The race hood looks like it would take on a lot of water while the freestyle hood looks like it will stay pretty dry.
That's what I'm saying. As just an average consumer in this sport when I see companies like X-Metal supporting the sport like this it makes me want to buy from those companies even if I don't win anything.
Thanks to all the sponsors.:hail: :hail:
I wasn't planning on buying it, but I figured I would throw it out there for everyone else.
I was just curious if it was a good known hood that I just hadn't seen before, but it sounds like nobody else has seen this hood before either.
Has anyone used/seen one of these hoods before:

$300 sounds like a great deal to me for a brand new Carbon Fiber Freestyle Hood.
The blaster hull I bought a little while back had them, but I haven't had the chance to try them yet because I don't have an engine in the ski yet.
I have heard they leak a lot.
The ones I have are from Riva. I'm pretty sure Riva still sells them.
I have heard that Solas props are a lot cheaper for shops to buy and they can mark them up much higher than Skats so that's why you see shops selling more Solas props.
Thats just what I've heard, but I'm not a dealer so I don't know the wholesale costs on each of the props.
That's what I'm saying. There customer service is awesome. When I was shopping around for a prop I ended up calling Skat to see what they recommended. When I called I got a very friendly and helpful english speaking American who took his time to explain everything about props to me. Yeah I know...
Once again I am no expert on props, but I have heard the Skats pretty much always run true to pitch because they are a higher quality prop. Now I have heard that it is a good idea to have Solas's checked because they can be off.
Solas is made in Taiwan. Skat is made in the USA!
Which...
I'm running the 12/17 swirl. From what I've heard you do NOT want a 13/15 or 13/16 Swirl. Just because that works for the Concord that doesn't mean it works for the swirl.
There was a guy on the boards not too long ago trying to sell a 13/15 Swirl because he hated the way it performed. He...
Yeah that's my rule also. I'll only drink coke when I go out to restaurants. Aside from that it's just water and gatorade for me and beer on the weekends.
I agree, but the last time I really used the bench that much was in high school and my max was 175 I believe(I was a lot smaller then). Since then I've been doing low weight high rep exercises like dumbells and pushups.
I just need to get in there and see where I stand.
Yeah thats what I'm thinking. I am 195lbs so for an example I would need to bench 156lbs 15 times.
I definitely think that's doable. I just haven't really focused on high weight or even tested my max's since high school. I always use dumbells when I'm working upper body so it looks like I'll...
I wouldn't worry about dropping anymore. I would start bulking up now. 8.5% is pretty damn good. Most people your size are always talk about having a hard time putting on the weight to bulk up. I think you could probably gain a few "healthy" pounds. Just my opinion though and I'm definitely not...
