Anyone else making a fitness "comeback"?

Yeah I've started to really pick up the pace this semester also. When I get to Pilot Training in about 6 months I have to take a test called the F.A.C.T. (Fighter Aircrew Conditioning Test) if I want to fly fighters. I need to do well on that test if I want to get Fighters out of Pilot...

    Removing Mikuni Carb Paint

Man you guys really need to try that stuff I found at HD. I swear I sprayed that stuff on and within seconds all of the paint was bubbling then I just took a paper towel and wiped all of the paint away leaving no paint behind.

    Removing Mikuni Carb Paint

I wish I could remember. Unfortunately the can is at my house in Florida. I can tell you that it was with the paint strippers and was a bigger than average spray can that had a blue and white label.

    Removing Mikuni Carb Paint

I found this spray can paint remover at Home Depot and it works awesome. You just spray it on and the paint bubbles off. I thought about removing all of the paint off my carbs, but I realized the only places it was chipping from was the front plates and linkage springs so I just removed the...

    time to talk about oil.

You're saying that your dealer cost on Klotz Benol is $45 a gallon ($15*3)? That's crazy. Full retail on that stuff is $47.55 a gallon. http://www.klotzlube.com/storeProdDetails.asp?pi=6

    time to talk about oil.

I PROMISE you that I paid that much. At the time I had no idea what the stuff was supposed to cost, but I knew the fellow board member was hooking me up. It wasn't until I started doing some researching recently to buy some more(My buddy is all out now) that I realized exactly how good of a deal...

    time to talk about oil.

Thats what I was thinking about doing. I was thinking about doing 3 parts Quiksilver for the corosive protection and 1 part Castor for the smell. Not sure if you can do that or not though.:dunno:

    Minor mis-hap foaming my footholds

I'm definitely not an expert when it comes to footholds cuz I've only done one set with a ton of help from a friend, but I do know that expanding foam can have some serious pressure forces. When we did mine we just put pieces of tape over the holes and let it pressurize and after it popped...

    Minor mis-hap foaming my footholds

damn:bigeyes: Did you let it pressurize too much or something? I think it's good to let some pressure build to make sure foam gets in every little crack, but you do want to let the pressure release.

    time to talk about oil.

Damn:bigeyes: You call that economical? I get Quicksilver for about $11 a gallon at West Marine because I work there over the summers. Right now I'm running Klotz Castor Benol because a buddy of mine hooked me up for $15 a gallon. I love the smell and all and it's great oil, but if I have...

    time to talk about oil.

This is one topic that has been covered in tons of threads so do a quick search and start reading:biggrin:. Personally I would stay away from yamaglue and probably run Quicksilver if you can get a good price on it. Check local marinas and boat stores(mercury outboard dealers) that sell it...

have you use this intake grate ?

If I had to guess I'd say the 2nd one is a Solas. I'm pretty sure Solas Intake Grates are black like that: http://www.solas.com/products/pwc/intake.htm

have you use this intake grate ?

That first one looks like an R&D to me: http://www.rd-performance.com/catalog/scoopgrates.asp?CATEGORY=Aquavein%20Scoop%20Grates

have you use this intake grate ?

I don't think it's a JD. JD's have one bar running through the middle the entire length of the the intake grate. That first one only has the middle bar on the first half of the intake grate then it goes to two outside bars.

taking the dash off and turfing.

I wouldn't even rerivet them. When we did my footholds we just used some leftover epoxy from the footholds and filled in the holes.

taking the dash off and turfing.

NO!!! Do not do this. If for some reason you need to get in your ebox which you will need to and it is corroded on to the bracket then you want to be able to easily remove the 4 bolts from the outside so you can get the ebox out of the ski. We countersunk mine with flathead bolts and it looks...
