Anything is better than stock and will show a noticeable improvement so if you already have a solas or can get one for really cheap then rock it. If you want the best and don't mind spending a little more get a Worx or Jet Dynamics.

I would definitely say the bpipe hands down, but as far as the head goes in my opinion compression is compression. I would think 185lbs on an ADA Head is the same as 185lbs on a Protec Head.
