Back to reality now I guess Mario....Sucks but at least you spent the last 2 weeks skiing everyday.
Go figure...all those x2's together in one spot and I saw no wrench in sight.
On flat water I use it to drop the rear end down to make a larger setup wake. Also when hitting any type of wake it really helps getting the front end out of the water. I use it less in the surf as it has a tendency to flip me over to far and land upside down. (Remember our may long weekend ride...
Yes...I have one installed on mine along with a pump stuffer. You do have to machine it to set it back. Impros can do this or if you have access to the machinery you can do it yourself. I did mine at work.
Pull the cylinder off first. Have a look to see how worn it is and if possible measure the bore. You can usually find a cheap pair of std. size pistons on ebay.
As Addict said it could also be the head gasket. WC heads use special gaskets as the domes are sealed with orings. Check the orings...
Maybe in stock form but I think a modded kawi motor is the way to go. Kawis already have the stroke the yamis are looking for...I've only ridden my race ported stroker 785cc yami but I think my 800kawi is just as good and cost much less to build than a stroker. My X2 rips my arms off
Hey cattledog...I don't think it's my silicone seal or I would expect that it would do it all the time. I will have a look at it just in case.
...No rear exhaust wedo.
Still is doing it but not really a big deal as it is so infrequent.
My engine spins up real fast with the SXR prop. I'm wondering if even the slightest bit of air causes the cavitation to start and the free running prop just won't let water back in.
Without doing any calculations I have a feeling at the very least the rods on the end of the cable will bend if activated at full thrust. I've bent mine last year with my modified stock setup. I think I'll let someone else try as well.
Dave...Slap together a few vectors to figure out the force. I believe a stock 650 has about 600 lbs of thrust and some of our modded skis about 30-40% more. I think you will find it's pretty high.
My lever ratio is almost 1-1 and with the hand lever there is a little additional leverage and I...
What I found is that you have to be careful that you set the up trim position so that it clears the hull when steering from side to side. When the steering is straight you will get a little more trim than when turned to one side. If the nozzle hits the hull while steering it can put a lot of...
So I moved my pump back to the stock location ( I had it set back 2") and I now get this weird cavitation thing happening. Everyonce in a while...actually it's only happened 3 times in 2 rides it'll get air in the pump. I slow right down and still it will not pull water to the point I fall off...
Hey Shawn,
Is the wammer trim kit hard to pull. Do you need to let off the trrottle when you pull the lever.
Also any pics of inside your light weight.
