Finally finished the mold and am pulling good parts. This cover fits over my Freestyle trim setup also for those of you that were concerned about that. Includes brass inserts that epoxy into the hull, mounting hardware and hardware.
Wad...Your are a true X2 sicko!
I think I was up to five at one time and started therapy. I ended selling most and building one sweet one. It that your plans?
Keeping all those X2's running must be stressfull
Is it like a plumbers test plug? I had problems with the fuel expanding the rubber on my plugs causing them to work their way out. Or is a rubber used that isn't affected by gasoline.
I wouldn't have thought that would have made that much difference since the water line is fed in at the end of the pipe. Try moving it back. It won't make any difference in power.
Just got back from the machine shop. It's good to go. I should have the finished product in a week. I'm also thinking about doing some up with black anodizing. I thought that would make it a little more corrosion resistant when in the salt. That and it looks cool as well. If anyone wants black...
I'll throw an angle meter on it tonight and measure it. Basically you'll be able to get as much trim as your X2 will allow. Like I said above my pump is set back 2 inches and another 1.75 is cut off the back of my hull. I even had to relieve some interference inside the nozzle so it would go...
OK...Here it is.
I've worked for weeks perfecting this. Unwilling to pay the high price that the Maekawa up trim costs. I've designed up my own. I've machined up the prototype and the CNC shop is in progress.
It took me a little while to perfect but now I've finally got it.
The pictures show...
The pics I posted previously show the problem. With the kawi limited chamber and the stock indexed manifold the chamber will not fit flush with the head pipe. There is a considerable gap. Perhaps if you had a large coupler it would make up for it. I had the blaster mod chamber that sah225 has...
Here's the deal...
The mod pipe fits fine pictured on the yellow ski.
The blue exhaust manifold is the one for the limited setup but has too much indexing and the head pipe hits the hull.
The stock manifold leaves a gap.
If I remember correctly it won't fit. Search over on the other site. There was a guy over in the UK trying to do it. The iimited pipe uses a special exhaust manifold with more indexing in order to mate with the chamber properly. Wont work in an X2 because the added indexing causes the head pipe...
Mario...Do you realize what your avatar looks like?
To bad you didn't have it ready for Daytona...Now you can come down with us for the chicken bone ride in p'cola.
Yes for sure the small pin for low end power. The port timing is lower which makes better bottom end. You can bore out a small pin cylinder to 83mm with no problem and that gives you 800cc's
