Been really busy with work. Was just in Japan. Can you beleive I was just about 15 miles away from Maekawa engineering and I couldn't find time to go for a visit. Next time I go I'm planning it into my schedule.

750 motor/elec guys, can I see some pictures?

It's an over heat sensor. You don't need to hook it up.

750 motor/elec guys, can I see some pictures?

I did run the outerwares all season. I thought these f/a's were the reason for the pistons breaking up on me early on but it ended up being detonation. Believe it or not I really had no issues with water. My hood mod worked really well to keep the water out. Mind you I still don't trust these...

750 motor/elec guys, can I see some pictures?

I took everything out of the 750 electric box and mounted it to a lexan plate behind the battery. Was going to find a nioce spot to mount the coil but never got around to it so I zip tied it to the battery strap. I used a MSD started relay. Not sure how waterproof the stocker is. A little mickey...

    blueprinting pump

I did one of my X2 pumps a while back with a carbide burr and air powered die grinder. Just keep dipping the burr in grease or oil to keep the burr from loading up with aluminum. Smooth out the finish with a flapper wheel. Did I notice a difference after??? ....absolutely none but I sure felt...

    Shaved Hood Questions

That doesn't add weight either:friday:...Actually it reduces it if you do it right. Cut the whole gas/oil filler area out and epoxy in the cover. I used a thin sheet of aluminum to cover the hood and built it up with about 3 layers of glass weave

    1986 hood mod

My bilge stays nice and dry. You can actually see the water flow over the opening and not go in when running the ski on it's side. It is a really big opening but my design still uses the stock water drains which do a pretty good job. The stock hoods biggest problem is the forward facing air...

    1986 hood mod

Found the pics... Did some calculations on the four 1" tubes you used bluebread. The the total cross sectional flow area of all 4 tubes is 3.14 in. sq. Your dual 40 SXR carbs have a total flow area of 3.8 in. sq. If this is your only intake on your hood it is a big bottleneck for you.

    1986 hood mod

Bluebread...Are those 4 tubes your only air intake? I'd be concerned about getting enough air. catteldog...the hood mod I did works very well.

Best bigbore setup and where to get it done.

I'd love to do a 5mm stroker with 85mm pistons. Almost 900cc's!!! A stroker will be my next motor for sure. I wish I could find more info on kawi strokers.

Would You Buy An Aftermarket X2 Hull?

Problem is Pete...will you be able to afford to buy a new one every year or 2? You seem to go through them like crazy. I do however vote you to buy the first one and bash it around. If you dont bust it up I should be ok to buy one.

wtb accusteer and 659 factory pipe head pipe

I'm running the stock manifold bored out to 47mm. Works fine for me. I couldn't get my westcoast to fit properly. I do have that other manifold if your interested in it cattledog. You'll need a new manifold for the 44 as it's a mikuni.

    Yamax2?

Really? I kept emailing those shin racing guys asking to buy a bed plate to save me the engineering but no one got back to me. I work for a Japanese company and asked one of the guys to read my google translated email...he told me it made no sense. Thats when I started to give up on this project...

    Any new mods to share?

I've been riding with my pump set back 2" and 1.75" cut off the back. Not sure if the pump setback mod is the best. For some strange reason it seems to push the front end down when turning a quick corner. Not so good when you want the front end light when coming back to hit a setup wake. Are we...
