there are a few people that have done it and are getting away with it.... yes you save weight but i wont risk my ski for that. the foam might save your a ss someday!
not the stuff ive seen... its huge blocks of blue foam. very early spring its normal to see random chunks floating in the lake from the ice flow. the stuff looks old as heck but still light as a feather... ill look more into it at the local marina.
i did mine with 3lb foam... although if i did it again i might just use that foam used for boat docks... you know that stuff isnt going to absorb water like this crap.
Also check and see if you have one of the older analog systems that require you to set your static timing 5 degree's more then you want.... so if you wanted it as 22 deg you'd set it up at 27 deg... ect. Call up MSD, they'll then which ones require that.
I thought these were M16 cages but the new petals are too large and 4 screws hold them on... Unlike the 3 here. You guys have a clue what these are? Its for a 62T obviously.
I'm assuming you still have the stock inner liner in your SN hood. With the 62T the carbs interfere with the hood hoses, if I remember correctly for very temperately I removed the hood hose. But I would strongly suggest doing a yamaslut hood mod, in conjunction with running the stock flame...
2 years ago NYS DEC told me 09' would be the last year of watercraft 2 strokes nationwide. Just very recently someone on here posted it was 2012. Either way I wouldn't expect either manufacture to ditch the 2 stroke any sooner than they are required to.
