Seems a bit like the Q8 Sky idea of bonding on a reshaped section to an existing hull to change it's handling. I remember a small company making a similar product for 80's era kawasaki stand ups many years ago.

The girdle studs clamp the cylinder between the head and cases. It reduces stress on the mounting areas of the cylinder, and makes the assembly stronger as a whole.
Bigger engine and proper prop would be a big upgrade.

AC pole
Bilge pump

SXIpro was the first kawi with the concave pump inlet. The SXR hull is wider, but not at all tubbie like. Besides, side sponsons were popular way before the SXR, anyway.
