That's a bad idea with the stock pole and mount on that model. The mount is cast aluminum, and can crack. The pole doesn't take flexing well, either. You might be better off with a Hazard Bracket and a RN pole.
It will work if you have exactly the right size drill, and don't enlarge the hole at all when you drill it. Don't use a hand drill. Smart money is on the bike store having a small round Mikuni jet in stock.
What brand of carb? Not all brands use the same measurements. And just buy the correct jets. They're cheap and available at nearly any motorcycle shop.
I've heard the sizing as stated by Matt E from others, but I seem to recall Mikuni's numbers actually corresponding to the number or cubic...
Just completed the Tour le Neighborhood with my 4yr old. It's about a 1mi. loop. Little guy is lookin' pretty tired and ready for some bedtime stories.:sleeping:
Got a nice 10mi. ride in today. Went out for a paved trail ride at a local park with my brother (and his carbon framed french le tour snob bike). The trailhead parking is at the top of a hill, so I thought "great, an easy downhill start". Think again, dude. He starts down the long downhill...
Ditched the plastic guard, much better now. It doesn't make that annoying "Q....Q....Q" sound anymore, lol.
Hopefully I won't need any more replacement hangers. The one I made should be a LOT stronger than the original.

Powerhouse, you did something wrong. Maybe the wrong glue, or possibly didn't follow the glueing instructions properly. When done correctly, the turf stays put for years. It's no differant than turfing a tray.
