My 93 x2 with a silver, larger exhaust manifold, Westcoast pipe, r&d intake manifold with a sbn 44, and a hooker 9/15 impeller was a very solid little setup with the stock engine would go 43mph
After building and riding a glass version of this ski I can't imagine selling it. What an amazing riding ski and you've got a bit more power and engine than I have. You'll regret selling it!
Got the cooling lines all worked out and took her out for another rip this evening. Holy crap this thing is a handful even with the little 735. Feels suuuuper light especially in the tray area. I've got to get used to riding this ski as it feels much different than the superjet. In a good way...
Really? I had the opposite experience on a pjs viper engine that originally had the dual 40mm keihins. Nothing at all against the keihins they're decent carbs, just the mikunis are easier to tube because there's more available parts to tune it. At least in my experience. But I know you worked at...
There's also a little adapter you can buy to bolt the sbn on the stock manifold. If you can find a reed cylinder single 44 manifold. It'll probably not be cheap. Jetting will probably around the 100-110 pilot, 110-120 main, 20-25 psi popoff depending on which flame arrestor you choose.
Keihins...
Ride report- ski rides absolutely amazing, rides much flatter than I anticipated, super flickable, and feels light as a feather coming off the superjet. Engine and pump have a lot more punch than in the superjet. Pump felt a little tight in the sj, definitely not the case in this ski. Had an...
I'm running a blowsion ovp steering on Mt freak with the xmetal pole. Bolted right up just had to make some quick L brackets to raise and trim the chin pad slightly to make it work.
Yeah I eventually want to get a tpe 964, beautiful setup you have there! Is that the ss or limited tnt chamber? I believe it's a pancake Pete front foothold but not sure. It definitely looks like one. It came with the Ski thankfully. I added 1 inch of padding to the very front so it grabs more...
It's running a lpw ported, 62t 735, dual 44s, zeel, kavinci 148 5mm setback mag pump with 7/14 skat that I was running in my superjet. Should feel a bit more punch in the much lighter freak.
When I ordered the exhaust hose from the website, I received an email with tracking info. Took 2 weeks for it to get to North Carolina. I'd imagine the manifolds would be the same. Quick shipping considering coming from overseas.
Also put the Ski on a bathroom scale before assembly with the hood, turf, pole and bracket and it came in at 117lbs. Still pretty light in my opinion. Certainly didn't feel that heavy when I pick it up. I wish I would've weighed it before all the glass work just to see how much weight I added.
She's a runner. Water test tomorrow. Was able to get the couch mounts to work by opening up the mounting holes to 1/2 inch to lower the engine down. No shims were needed. Used a manifold for the cooling as the hull has 2 1/2 inch cooling lines. 2 feed the engine, one feeds the pipe and one feeds...
Looks like it would use a blowsion spring. This pole bracket looks almost identical to the blowsion lowered bracket minus the machined hole under the pivot bolt holes
