    Blaster top end issue

It should not make a sound. It sounds like the vent is stopped up. It needs to be able to breath air in as your fuel disappears. If it doesn't, a vacuum will be created that your diaphragm fuel pump will not be able to overcome and it will starve for fuel.

    Blaster top end issue

Make sure the check valve and vent hose on your tank are passing air. It could be drawing a vacuum on the tank and starving for fuel if the tank is not breathing. It's a dangerous thing to have that happen. I lost two top ends from going lean once before I figured out it was such a simple...

    Yamaha 1100 conversion help

Just buy the plates. I don't really know why you wouldn't. Do they cost?....yes. You are building something that is worth it. Don't cut corners. I'm not trying to be a smarta$$ about it, but just trying to say invest in your build to make it all work well. I did a 1200 conversion and worked...

Question for 1100/1200 blaster conversion folks

For the past couple years I have ridden at a private lake at a three palms extreme sports park but we recently lost that lake as it is being turned into a cable park for wake boarding. I just registered my boat for the first time in years. I have been out to lake Conroe once since.

    95 Blaster

Check out a watercross intake grate and ride plate if you really like to carve turns.

    95 Blaster

Wow. I can't believe that the tank sucked down like that and that ski didn't go lean and melt down. That pipe is not too bad but the factory pipe just looks cleaner.

Question for 1100/1200 blaster conversion folks

What did you do or use to secure the water box in the rear section? Rubber, foam, etc? I need to do something to secure this water box so that it doesn't wear into the hull from vibration and movement.

Super Jet Solas Mag Pump Ate My Bearings- How About You?

After the advice from kevbo in this thread, I replaced the front 6205 bearing with a 5205. If anyone is using this pump behind a high horsepower engine, this is a good mod to do. It involves machining the shaft for the extra width of the bigger bearing but you get a bigger bearing. It makes the...

Super Jet Solas Mag Pump Ate My Bearings- How About You?

My pump is back together with the larger front bearing. After 2 tanks, it is still looking good. Thanks to everyone here for the ideas and direction.

Blaster Blaster B1 GP1200 motor build

I hear that a 155 pump will work. I am not sure what has to be done or the benefits of using one. I have one just in case I need it later. :)

Super Jet Solas Mag Pump Ate My Bearings- How About You?

From what I have read, some people are having better luck with them it seems. I have purchased sealed bearings for my next install. I have a sealed Nachi 6205 for the rear and a sealed American made SKF 5205 bearing for the front. Both are C3 clearance. I plan on having the shaft turned to...

Super Jet Solas Mag Pump Ate My Bearings- How About You?

Have you ever done this to a pump? After looking at the specs, I really like the idea of using the 5205 bearing. I gather from your post that you think that a 5205 for the front bearing and 6205 for the rear would suffice if that change was made? If I am going to have a machine shop check the...

Super Jet Solas Mag Pump Ate My Bearings- How About You?

If I am thinking correctly the collar portion of the shaft would be cut back 5.6mm from each side to accept the 5205?

Super Jet Solas Mag Pump Ate My Bearings- How About You?

Now you are talking in circles... You think the shaft should be cut to run a 5205 or the housing should be cut to run a 6305?

Super Jet Solas Mag Pump Ate My Bearings- How About You?

There have been a lot of different opinions in this thread about what causes this. From the number of people that have had problems, it is obvious that this is not an isolated type of issue. Its not exactly rocket science either. We are dealing with a shaft spinning on two bearings that are...

Super Jet Solas Mag Pump Ate My Bearings- How About You?

I pulled my midshaft bearing assembly this afternoon. The midshaft bearing is fine but the grease on the shaft did come from here. The seal on the back pushed out most likely from me having it much too full of grease and the shaft vibrating from the pump bearings. I pulled the rear most seal...
