I think the thrust pump needs some love. Might need a rebuild But I got a great deal on it so it’s ok.

Hopefully my builds can pick up some steam here soon.

I decided on paint and gave the go ahead for the helium. Hopefully it will be done this week and then @tricky1 can work some turf magic.

(I chose the far left)

Ordered a powerfactor for the Rickter. Tim has my Dasa boxed up and is waiting on the weather to clear out before he ships it. My pole bracket is still on a slow boat from Thailand so I’m at a stand still there. @Nate_D is going to make me some of his inserts for the hull. Only thing I could think of to do for now is install my pump shoe.

This flowguard is a big pain in my butt. Pump aligned pretty easy just the typical shims in the rear.

I used west systems six10 thickened epoxy to glue in the shoe. I cut a small piece of cardboard and used it to trowel the edges. Tried to keep it as clean and smooth as I could.

Don’t make fun of the philips screws in the duct shoe. They are The only ones I could find at the time and I didn’t want to go to the store. They are stainless though. I think they came from a blowsion tubbie instillation kit.

If you want to try a pretty slick pole bracket that seals off the tubes so water isn't dumping into your hull check these out, from New Zealand but the price is comparable. http://www.kp-parts.com/parts/billet-pole-bracket

I don’t need to buy a bracket. I sent the blue bracket and hooks back in exchange for all black. Just waiting for them to get here

Understood, just figured you might dig this setup better.

Drilled and tapped the shoe for the intake grate. Had to do a little grinding on the front mounting point for it to fit.

When I installed the pump and shoe I used a old 155 pump seal as sacrifice. I cut the compression part of it off so I would have to have the new seal fully compressed to install the pump.

It sounded better in my head than it did when I went to install my pump with the new seal on it. I had to get 2 ratchet straps going around my ski pulling the pump forward to compress the seal and it almost wasn’t enough. It was hell trying to get the bolts in the wear ring. I thought the ears on the reduction nozzle were going to break off I had the ratchet straps so tight.

No pump leaks here lol

Evidently the production tolerances are pretty good!

Your Helium is definitely going to be a gorgeous ski when it’s all complete! I bet the pics don’t do justice.

I really like the 6-mount idea. It’s very creative!

I might have to steal your ‘flake paint’ idea for my next ski. It will be in white.
