If this sucker handles like an SXR and is lightweight it would be the best boat out there. Hopefully it is strong like an SXR and won't need reinforcing. People could just buy the new ski and swap all their mods onto it and have the ultimate ski.

Sounding better and better.

Oh , well it was s/s on the one at the show and they were advertising it.

I hope the production ones get it too but the specs say aluminum.

EDIT: Features says stainless steel impeller but the specs page says aluminum. Hopefully it's the s.s. one that makes it to production.

well since the trend as been that the later years superjet have been weaker then the older years, lets hope maybe they stregthened it up, or pay more attention to bonding the to halves.

same length i believe... just moved the pump back. they took some width off the rear hull, not deck, and 2" off the handle pole... so they shaved some weight there, but added it somewhere else. guessing the Raider style nozzle might be a tad bit heavier... but the rest of the weight gain had to come from somewhere else... hopefully a stronger hull.

Dealer in LKN e-mailed me today to say "2008 Superjets just ordered."

It's 306kg which is still 297lbs. Hasn't changed. And it DOES handle like an SXR. I own a 2005 superjet and a 2006 sxr, I know the difference. They will be available in Oct.

hopefully these things drop the price of used rns to about 1500 bucks.
(i could use a backup ski)

hopefully not! Do you really want everyone on here with a RN to lose half or more of the value of their ski?? Good for someone that doesn't own one, not for people with them. I don't really think this thing will affect the price much, it will be able while before a lot of them are out there, plus it looks the same as a RN whereas a SN looks drastically different. That hull doesn't look like it will be as good for flatwater freestyle anyways.
