Im not very impressed. Its a superjet with tubbies pretty much. I think the first thing to go would be the spout that will be spraying all over you.

Looks EXACTLY the same as the underside of my ski with tubbies molded on, well, apart from the deeper strakes.

I guess it's no surprise considering JD was test riding one of these quite a while ago!

Yea its setback alittle bit. I wonder how much difference thats going to make. If you already have a decent pump/prop/grate/plate setup then thats not worth buying a new one. Im sad. I wanted to be blown away with power.

Just got a call from Kaveman and he gave me the OK to tell you what he knows:

The Same:

Motor, carbs, topdeck

Different:

Hull has integral sponsons, is narrower in the rear, and has deeper strakes.

Intake grate, rideplate, and pump have been moved back.

Pump has stainless impeller.

Blue ski with white graphics---looks like a 98-02 model.

He's going to try and take pictures and post later.

If it had came with an 800 EFI, I'd have bought one tommorow. :grumble:

The website says it has a variable pitch aluminum impeller and a stainless impeller housing liner. I wonder which is the real deal????

I'm disappointed that the removeable, front console mounted boombox didn't make it on the couch It's got a emote controlled alarm and cruise control. Don't laugh, the boombox is a concept that they are patenting.

Trim system? Different end on the steering cable, and something above the (different) turn nozzle?

Almost looks like it's ready for a trim lever and cable to be installed...

my boss was @ the show and just called me and said that they showed the new couch being 3mph faster than the kawie 250

I'm sure royal has brought you up to speed on the "NEW" Superjet. To recap: front of the hull (bottom only) is wider and has molded in sponsons very similar to Tubbies, rear of hull is narrower, pump and ride plate are set back 50 mm (almost 2"), handlepole is 50 mm shorter, pump has a stainless impeller and I believe, but don't mark it as the gospel, that the chines are deeper on the bottom of the hull.

EVERYTHING else is the same. Same engine, same pump, same exhaust, same grips, steering, pole spring, same traction mats, same rail caps, even the same ride plate and intake just moved back a little. The color is blue with white.
