SWEET!!!
Yamaha's Trademarked Visibility Spout®: A waterspout from the rear of the craft that improves the craft’s conspicuity.

:indifferent: I am pretty disappointed. The SXR is still gonna toast it. As far as I am concerned, Yamaha and Kawi are basically dead in the stand up world. I would rather go all aftermarket. I'm not buying anything from Kawi or Yami again. For 7 grand, I could get a KILLER used Freestyle Boat with a fresh engine and electronics.

V, you want light then go to the new VX700, LOL. That's the biggest surprise for Yamaha 08 for me. I never saw that coming. A new 2 stroke ultra budget model.

Correction, All of the waverunners and sport boats must follow a lead boat on a pre-determined course...the only exception to the rule is the chubby. We get to take it out in a different direction for a specified amount of time to do as we please. I am sure that they will have some kind of guidelines as to what we can do, but the word tonight from Scott Watkins and John Such was "go over there and ride it and do what you want."

I'll know tomorrow and will post my $.02.

Just ride
i think it's interesting how they came back out with the 701 in a sitdown in the VX700. maybe the two strokes will last a little longer than you think...i can't imagine they would make a model that they would bolt a 701 in a sitdown again if they didnt think it would be there for a while. with the whole emissions thing, i heard that it is the entire fleet of watercraft that have to meet a certain emissions standard, not just model by model. in other words they can make the four strokes super clean and have the two strokes be high in emissions and still meet a standard->just what i heard from an owner of a watercraft dealership that i know well.

I saw the pics and most of what I saw looked like them. I did not however look very closely at the pump as Mr. Watkins said it was the same pump. I will look at it tomorrow. I did notice the shorter steering nozzle and the steering cable pivot end. They are as the pics.

It is possible that there are provisions for a trim, but the one at the show has nothing to manipulate a trim. No twist grip and no lever. Sorry, I will check better tomorrow. If anybody has anything else they want looked at post up before 10 am tomorrow. That's when I'll be heading out for the demo which is from 1 -5 pm.

manana, I'm out.
