Any suggestions on how to even up the top and bottom deck at the bond line so the carbon looks nice when I put it in?

are you talking to reinforcing and the bond line? use west coast 404 stuff is amazing..

Ya, just mix up some filler and epoxy nice and thick and spread it in there so there is an even transition. I use us composites fairing compound. You can also use it to fair out your glas work before priming. Since its all epoxy, no worries about incompatibilities.

NICE, I didnt want to waste all my "max clear" laminating epoxy resin I plan to put the carbon/kevlar down with. What do you use for filler? just shredded up fibreglass matting?

use 404 dude.. u mix it in with the epoxy and it thickens it up..

Im at a standstill until I have a motor to line up. gotta decide if Im grinding out the factory mounts and glassing in aluminum bars or bolting plates to them. And I cant start the reinforcement glassing until the mounts are glassed in the bottom.

I guess Ill glass in bar stock then drill and tap. I still need some nice billet couplers and my shaft cut down.

Parts look amazing! I havent worked on this in 2 weeks... my friend rolled his jeep, and the shop has been tied up with a body tub swap on an 03 wrangler. for being so simple there sure was a lot to take apart. hopefully by sunday its back together and Im back on track with this project.
