Good to hear. The rail extensions do look like they'd give you a nice platform to balance the ski. I know my primary objective was trying to keep my feet on the stock side rails when I did it. Then it shot through my legs, scratching me to all hell, and swamped the engine.

i love the new look of ur ski. something about green on a kaw that always works. i miss my lime 440. i fought no spark all last summer on mine, tried cdi, which was msd, different stator, bc i heard 1992s are notorious for that, looked into the start stop, turned out the msd was taking out my coil after getting warmed up, back to the stock cdi now.

MSD works my JSS stator still doesnt work. The only diffrence between it and the working one is the timing advance plate. So i am thinking that the plate is not letting the pick up work properly with my lightend flywheel. I will eventually pull the plate and try that but the plate is kinda perminate since one of the heads is stripped out.

Right now i am just running the MSD with no plate. I think thats what ski4ever is running.

gonna hit the water tomorrow and see what she has. I got a 82 low and 150 high in there so i will see how that runs. and try and get riding pics

Man you've spent about as much time and money rebuilding your charging system as most do with a total loss... Hope you really want the charging deal.

i bet having the smaller pole that sits flush down in the hood helps balance when riding on there because your like 4 inches lower. I also have trouble because the stock pole sticks up its like sittin on a fence

Looks really cold...

it wasnt too bad only at first we got out there at like 830am for high tide. If you go there at low tide you have to use the boat ramp instead of the beach

Its nice for sure but itTook a while to get use to!

Nice build! I'm brining my 93 sx back to life after it has sat for a couple of years. Dropped in a new battery and the ski fired up on the first try after priming the carb. Now all the work of rebuilding carbs and cleaning everything comes into play.

Anyhow, stupid question but do the Blowsion side rail extensions come pre-turfed and ready to install? Do they replace the stock side rails all the way around? I'm looking to 1. get rid of the purple rails, and 2. provide more traction and surface area.

The rails come with extension peices that you glue/and screw on the the bond line. The old purple bumpers are not used. Once the extension peices are on you use the pre cut turf and glue it down. The kit doesnt come with the hardware to screw the extension on nor does it come with turf for the front bumper. I used left over extension shaved it down a little and scrap turf to do the front.
