Have you ever heard of the Pose method for running?

Just came across that ....I noticed all the trainers had those type of shoes on...guess it makes sense now.

Emm.... how many diets have you been on?

you name it I have tried it... but this isn't a "diet" per say ....it is a lifestyle change. I feel so much better not eating processed crap.....and it will help fuel my workouts. No point in killing myself in the gym if I am going to go home and eat junk and drink a beer. I am done with that. This is probably the easiest "diet" (whatever you want to call it) that I have done. It isn't anything fancy...just eating like I should be.

I was eating healthy before we moved back to 'Bama....then sitting at home for 6 months got me back into crap eating mode. I am just getting back on track!

I just made paleo spaghetti .....not too shabby!!

*edit* I made paleo banana pancakes this morning...FREAKING awesome!!! tasted just like banana nut bread!! So "pasta" one night and pancakes the next day...all without feeling guilty.....I like it!

First "official" WOD:

Shoulder press 1-1-1-1-1 reps
Push press 3-3-3-3-3 reps
Push Jerk 5-5-5-5-5 reps

Arg....weightlifting is just so outside of my comfort zone (read: Never done before in my LIFE)....so this will be a tough one.

Managed to stick to the diet over the weekend (included football and a day not at home where it is easier to eat right) :bananapowerslide:

I will say I am surprised at the lack of support I am getting from some of my closest friends. I am slow....lazy....and still incapable of handling this. I will think of a certain phone call I received yesterday when I am busting out some push jerks this afternoon :moon:

Joel...you might want to check out the Pose Running Method. I read into it a little more.....looks like the best way to run. Running has always been tough for me because of my knees so this may save me.

Hmm, just a few things motivate me to run these days. Of those are: set of waves coming, cruiser passing by, and blondes...a little slutty and about a day over 18.

However I'll check it out. You've sparked my CF interest again

do it!!!!! Those slutty blondes will be all over you :naughty::dance:haha

So far my first 2 workouts have been strength training. Dead lifts yesterday....and wow I can feel it in my legs today :bigeyes: today is squats and pull ups.......I am not looking forward to squats!!

Yesterday's WOD kicked my a**!!!!!!

"Five rounds for max reps of:
Body weight bench press
Pull-ups
Body weight back squat"

I only made it through round 4....but that was because I ran out of time...didn't quit.

I got pretty close to throwing up.....just pushed my body to a limit that it has never been before.....and I was just getting over a stomach bug.

I am loving this stuff though....I love having people standing over me and pushing me through things that I would normally not be able to do. Every time I laid down on that bench, Russell (the owner/trainer) would be right there pushing me through it. Everyone is so supportive and standing there yelling to motivate you...pretty freaking cool. :bananapowerslide:

My arms are like jelly today....thank goodness today is a rest day!!!:skull2:

3 strength training WODs in a row means a 5K or some nonsense is coming up...I am not looking forward to it!
 
I'll check it out, thanks! What would I do without sweets....and Mountain Dew?! I'd love to argue some points about CF with your coworker. CF is a different type of regime and is designed to work your anaerobic energy vs aerobic. Soup and salad, yuck!!! No thanks, I'm a meat eater.

When do you get smoked again???


moutain dew actually has LESS sugar than coke!


if you read the label on the can.....the MD can has like 4-5g more sugar, but a serving size is 1 can where as a can of coke is 2 servings!
