Fresh from today. Put the carbon bottom to the test.

Lots of rocks, cypress knees, and log jumps.

And damn does this thing ride perfect for this kinda stuff.

Hooo Raaa. Trim Cable is here. Definitely glad I didn't go with the Terry cable. X-metal trim cable for the win, this thing is beefy.

Threaded rod on one side, brass lug on the other. Sweeeeet.

astroglide is right next to that. Video camera is on a tripod in the corner. Waterbed is facing a large wall mirror. Broken aluminum handlepole by the door. Cant get better than that in college.

So I ripped the pump out today to install the REAL trim cable and get rid of my Hack job steering cable. Figured since I had the pump out I might as well do the blue printing I never did when I installed the TBM. I chose not to smooth it down any further than this. Figure it wont be worth the effort, unlike the huge gain from properly blueprinting a 550 pump.

As shown in my build many pages ago I used a kawi steering tube seal cap to seal my trim cable. It ended up working perfectly. I used a rubber grommet from a Ebox that seals the spark plug wires and a Kawi steering C clip. As it tightens down the rubber squeezes down on the trim cable and locks it in place rather tightly. This is pretty much how a superjet steering cable is sealed as well.

The bracket to hold the trim cable worked out pretty nicely. Snuged into the webbing of the 650 pump, and locks in with the molding so it cannot move at all.

Overall its an incredibly smooth action, and I have enough pull that my tray is limiting me now.
