So when I left last night, you were making your first cut into your aluminum handle pole...

Hows that coming? Have pics yet?

That looks SWEET!

I like how it looks all rough like that. So now you have like the "Bride of Frankenstein's" ski with a hint of Terminator.

I dig it. :)

Edit: I don't know about that PINK whistle though...lol!

Ok.... Sooo spent some money, bought all new components for the E-box.

+ New JSS coil,
+ Yamaha Starter solonoid (finally getting rid of the kawi unit i was using),
+ Then I ripped out ALL the weird and bad wiring,
+ Solidered and sealed up new color correct wires with glue lined heat shrink.
+ New OEM E-box seal to replace the original 19 year old one.
+ Blasted and Powdercoated Ebox cover

+ New Bendix
+ Timing Cover Gasket
+ Replaced small 1 3/4" exh outlet with larger 2 1/8" outlet. Hopefully removing the extra backpressure i had. Also I found this is where I was leaking. All the silicone from the first outlet had decomposed.

And about to finish the new steering plate changes to my handle pole. May or may not start the nose project before this weekend... May be riding daytona again.

At least this time I KNOW I wont have any electrical issues.

Still on the list.

- B - Pipe water injection adjustments.
- ReWire bilge with new Locking Mil Spec switch
- Wire everything with waterproof GM weather packs.
- Re-glass a new nose
- Jaz 3 gallon fuel cell
- Glass a new hood

Done.

Glassing the nose next week I guess. The pole will be another 8" forward then.

Few hours at daytona on saturday actually... Just finished with the new bilge wiring and Mil spec Toggle switch, as well as changing the water screws on the head pipe.

I went 1/2 turn open on top, closed on middle, and bottom. I wanted to go 3/8 turn on bottom but it I couldnt get it to turn without ruining the threads.

Either way... The pole is finished, Much sturdier than the last steering plate, a monitor mount was just a dumb idea in the first place, even if it was all billet machined aircraft aluminum. lol. If its not too cold I'll be going back to daytona again this weekend.

Suzy has pictures of me from last week, but she is holding them ransom... :grumble:

Hopefully my GM weather pack connectors will be here tomorrow.

Edit. BTW, with the new coil and all new wiring inside, my ski has never started so good/fast. wow.

Not sure... I think im going to "paint" it soon. Just trying decide if I'm going to go mostly vinyl sticker based or maybe an oil enamel. Definately not going to shell out the money for automotive urethane paint. Any suggestions on what type? I'm not going to spend much on paint, because if you couldnt tell already I'm not a stickler for body cosmetics....

It will most likely happen in the next few weeks after I reglass the nose, I'll start sanding it down and filling in all the cracks that are happening in the top deck around the engine bay.

I really like the Red, But I also have been wanting to paint something BRIGHT green, yellow, orange and pink for a while. Make it super 80s.

Then I'll actually buy and do a nice turf job for the first time in 3 skis...

Thanks for all the stuff chris. Lemme know about a MSD if you get one.

I was wondering if you held off on the nose or not, and you know I don’t have any choice on the pics! :kabong: I was going to load them onto the laptop and bring the up to the zone this weekend, but probably not now that surf has taken a dive. Just stop by to see them. You can see if my huge drysuit fits you then too (that might make for some fun pics. :Banane09:)

Heres the pole all finished with final hardware and powdercoated. Light polish on the center tubes. Also I took some time to organize the wires in the bay. GM weather packs on all connectors now.

Still something wrong in Ebox... I replaced new starter solonoid, it starts up fast and fine for 4 times, then nothin. no clicks, no smoke, no stink. I am baffled.
