Well I'm tired of the pipe not being here. So I'm gonna use a PJS pipe I borrowed from laserman. I sent impros a good chunk of change for a one off impeller and they arnt picking up the phone at all this week. He didnt say hed be taking the week off last week when i talked to him.... =\

Neither the large PJS nor the stock 650 pipe come close to fitting without major denting. The manifolds of both pipes put the chambers far to low and bang agaisnt the bedplate. I did not realize how lucky I am that the B pipe clears and resolves this issue. I now know why 550/750k swap guys have a much harder time finding a good exhaust. The 550 bedplate is much deeper than the 650/750 bedplate which is much flatter overall, the 550 has much steeper sidewalls.


I hope my girlfriends Christmas present gets here tomorrow. Thats the other side of this. I'm waiting on it to arrive so I can go give it to her over in Tampa.

Well this is it. Need a heat gun to make a tank fit. This limited pipe is much longer than what I thought it was, Ive always seen/used a cut down mod chamber or a blaster mod chamber.


Very little room in the nose, if i didnt have the cut out i wouldnt have been able to get this stuff in, so now instead of glassing in a fire extinguisher there, I'm going to pop in the rear cap from a blaster/waveraider and use it as an access hole.

Fired it up and this thing is LOUD. The limited chamber does not quiet the ski down any where as close as what the stainless centerbleed blaster mod chamber did. I set it up for dual cooling thinking id be running dual pissers, but after this I'm pretty sure I will be dumping 100% of one line into the stinger just to quiet it down. I'll run the other side to a pisser and have a diverter to dump into the aluminum exhaust elbow to quiet it down even more. I like loud but this is rediculous.

Yeah Santa aka Speedracer brought me a black Jet Pilot wetsuit and some X2 parts I also received various other presents that are now being exchanged for shiot I will actually use- wear-need-want.I really fawking amazes me what little thought some people put into gift giving,don't they realize that shiot is going right back to the store?

Was my battery in it (and what about my plate)? Secondly, are you okay (lol, really first)? I may have one coming up for you! I hope things are going better with what you mentioned (I honestly need that battery by tomorrow at the very latest please).

I turned it on for its maiden voyage, and it coughed a couple times getting gas through it, then BAM. WOT. It slammed me into the first dock and knocked me off, I took both hand grips with me. I didnt have time to hit the stop button, and I stupidly wasnt using a lanyard. I dislocated my shoulder there. The ski ran off, at about 60 mph. We couldnt even catch it on the sea doo. It was FAST, i have never felt something with so much power.


The ski ran through the bottom pylons of a dock across the lake, smashed into the shore, which was riddled with cypress knees and launched off the incline. We had to pull it down from the tree. The entire front half of the ski is gone. Luckily no damage to the motor, except maybe a burnt piston or two. the gas tank and limited chamber were about 30 feet from the ski/tree. So im hoping it ran out of gas before it burned up.

What happened? Air leak lean runaway? Broken cable, broken throttle return spring? Just curious.

I have not checked the box yet. Its been a bad month for me lately.


I was using a 650 throttle cable, which is just a tad short. I have a feeling when I smashed the gas tank in the hull, it actually seperated the sheath from the threaded steel end cap, pulling the cable/throttle open. I have bolt on OP flame arrestors, so I cant just pull off the tops to check throttle position like I used to with my K&N's. Funny thing is... UPS delivered my new K&N setup today, right after this happened, so I would have noticed.
